It is nice and soft with very minor cracks that may not show in the photos. NOTE: During assembly, DOT3 brake fluid was used as assembly lube to protect the seals when inserted into bore. I restored this for myself and then ended up not using it. This 1985 is straight and 1986 an angled fitting.
The original inlet fitting screws were also cleaned and re-painted in gold to simulate the zinc they originally plated with. The original rubber dust boot was cleaned and treated. It will work perfectly fine in a 1986 as well but note the plastic inlet from reservoir is different. It was fully disassembled, cleaned, inspected, glass bead blasted where practical the bore obviously and sealing surfaces also NOT disturbed, then repainted in OEM manner some aluminum exposed key areas with semi-gloss black paint like original finally re-assembled.
This is a genuine Nissan 1985 master. I did all this detailed restoration work for my own machine and ended up with a different master in the end. Its not perfect, but pretty nice. Otherwise, they are the same.
